BIO OF CHRISTIAN YACCARINI

Christian Yaccarini is the President and CEO of Société de développement Angus (SDA) since the inception of this social economy company in 1995.

While with the SDA, he has developed expertise in sustainable urban renewal and economic projects with social or cultural betterment, including the Technopôle Angus, a locally and internationally renowned model of a brownfield-redevelopment.

Within the framework of a vast urban renewal plan for St. Laurent Boulevard, Christian Yaccarini is currently in charge of Le 2-22 and Le Parallèle, two cultural building projects, as well as the Quadrilatère Saint-Laurent.

In addition to his SDA functions, Mr. Yaccarini is the head of the Fonds Immobilier Angus (Angus Real Estate Funds), a result of solidarity funding with a mission to support urban renewal projects that have positive impacts on the community. He is also known for his volunteer involvement with various organizations, such as Cinéma Parallèle,Groupe des 33 and Scène Ouverte, for which he is Chairman of the Board, as well as Insertech Angus and Jeunes musiciens du monde, where he seats on the Board of directors. As an accomplished fundraiser, he has been invited to up with a score of organizations, among which: l'Accès-cible jeunesse Rosemont, Jeunes musiciens du monde, TNM, Théâtre la Licorne, Théâtre du Rideau vert, and Agora de la danse.

Christian Yaccarini is a UQAM bachelor graduate in political science.
