Over the next few years, in excess of one million square feet of rental space, representing 2,000 million dollars in investment, will be built in order to complete the ambitious industrial conversion project that is Technopôle Angus. Technopôle Angus’s Master Plan is in line with our desire to offer the new Montreal economy a staging ground that is urban, modern and distinctive. To achieve this goal, Technopôle Angus has chosen a coherent sustainable development approach. As such, it follows the following development principles:

- A harmonious integration into its environment. A campus where businesses respect the location’s spirit and history and are in contact with adjacent residential neighbourhoods.

- The strongly urban character of the ensemble. A distinctive environment, based on a high occupation density, in order to maximize business implantations and job creation.

- An environment that favours economic, professional and human exchange. A convivial model urban campus, promoting exchanges at every level: between persons and public spaces, between the built environment and the public domain, between businesses and the city.

- An urban landscape which reinforces the site’s identity. A landscaping project characteristic of urban environments, ensuring a healthy distribution of empty spaces between parts of the site, in the private and public domain, by emphasizing the quality of the city’s landscape.

- A distinctive and environmentally-friendly architecture. A very high-quality architectural strategy, adapted to the needs of businesses and meeting the highest environmental and energy standards: LEED-certified buildings, environmentally-friendly building management, soil rehabilitation strategy, etc.

- A judicious and complete plan for traffic lanes and modes of transportation. A mixture of collective and active modes of transportation, in a sustainable development perspective.

- An efficient and responsible parking supply. A responsible urban parking strategy, meeting the needs of businesses while respecting the optimal standards of sustainable development and eliminating large parking areas, characteristic of traditional industrial spaces.
